Challenge:
To reduce the cost and weight of their dining chairs, and to supply less pricey trash bins

Total Solution:
We supplied value-engineered options which functioned just as well but cost much less. The heavier aluminum backrests of the dining chairs were exchanged for durable lightweight plastic ones, and that reduced cost by approximately 8%. Each chair also weighed 1kg less. The US-imported trash bins were replaced with bins made from local solid-surface materials, with a cost savings of 28%-40%.
